The Jericho Foundation came to life when one woman responded to a child's simple but powerful request; "please don't forget me".

• One by one individuals and businesses have joined the cause.
• One by one, deserving children are being awarded college scholarships, receiving prosthetic limbs, and participating in U.S. exchange and college internship programs.
• One by one, Jericho is restoring HOPE based upon this commitment made to a child over 16 years ago.

The Balkan War of 1992-1995 is forgotten history to most of the world, but it will always feel like yesterday to Bosnians. JERICHO will never forget the children of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Our HOPE Initiatives

Healthcare

• Jericho supports the Miracles Center for Prosthesis and Care which provides prosthetic limbs for youth in BiH enabling them to lead fulfilling and productive lives.
• Jericho promotes basic child health awareness by providing vitamins and non-prescription medicines.

Opportunity

• Jericho partners with BiH handcrafters providing them a distribution opportunity. All donated funds are returned to the crafters to help support their very basic family budget
• In 2012, a college student program was instituted which facilitates an unpaid U.S. internship for Bosnian scholars to gain experience in their field of study.

Personal Relationships

• The annual Project HOPE team serves in BiH to foster lasting friendships, broaden educational perspectives, and increase language skills for children from an orphanage, Roma youth (gypsies), and college students.
• Jericho has established a student exchange program for qualified youth from BiH hosted by U.S. families. These visits instill a sense of confidence, establish a network of support, and improve language skills for the future leaders of BiH.

Education

• Jericho awards college scholarships for youth in BiH who would otherwise be unable to pursue higher education. Each student application is carefully reviewed; scholarships are based on academic performance and personal qualifications.
• Jericho funds educational camps for primary and secondary students from an orphanage in BiH. Without our support, these children would be unable to participate.
